Waltz of the Snowflakes

Today is my birthday and every almost every Christmas growing up I remember going to see The Nutcracker as a special birthday treat. It was often snowing so we would all get dressed up and down coats, hats, scarfs, boots, and mittens and drive for over an hour to get to the "big city" where there was a performing arts hall big enough to host a professional production of The Nutcracker and not just the local ballet school's Christmas recital.

The beginning of course was a magnificent party on Christmas Eve full of family and friends joyously celebrating the holiday together. Dancing and drinking and of course the wonderous show that Herr Drosselmeyer puts on for his godchildren Clara and Fritz. Fritz is a pain as most brothers are at times want to be but Clara is completely enthralled by the giant marionettes that come to life and especially enchanted by the nutcracker that her godfather gives her for a present. As the story goes after the guests all leave Clara has a magical adventure with her Nutcracker Prince, the first leg of which has her entering a land where snowflakes dance a welcome to her as the fairies and their queen prepare for her visit.

I always loved the waltzing snowflakes. They seemed something special just for me on my special day. No one I knew had a birthday near Christmas and no one I knew had a special birthday tradition of going to see The Nutcracker. And no one had snowflakes that waltzed for them all winter like I had because I was a winter baby born in snow. Such are the musings of children, but sometimes musings turn into something more.

Waltz of the Snowflakes is a jewelry set that completely enchants me. It honestly looks like it is dancing as it sparkles and shines against you. The whole set combines to create the illusion that you are waltz away in your own snowglobe with a flurry of snowflakes felling all around you. I hope you will be enchanted as I am with them.

The earrings, necklace and ring are 100% prims twisted, cut, and hollowed in such a way to create a cascade of faces to catch the natural SL light with every move. The light dances off the prims in a kaleidoscope of colors making the jewelry come alive.

And don't forget, as a special holiday gift to you every purchase made at Frippery from now through December 25 includes two complete sets, one copy and one transferable. The copy set is my gift to you as you spread the joy of the season and pass along the transferable set to someone on your Christmas list.

Sleigh to Frippery
